Is Aham’s yellow like my yellow

or is it red like rain?

Is Aham’s world like my world

or is it stained with pain?

 

If I could see through Aham’s eyes

what kind of a world would I sing?

watch an alien sun set in a foreign sea

through the glass of a naked king

 

And what about Aham’s thanksgiving bird

with yellow cranberry sauce and stuffing

and what about truckloads of turkeys

on their way to their yellow snuffing?

 

And what about Aham’s yellow anthem

and yellow democracy and socialism

and what about dying for the yellow cause

and holy yellow acts of terrorism?
