Found Poetry

I find poetry in silver

snail tracks body painted on

garden paths

written in darkness

I find songs in punctured tires

see lines written by high flying jets

listen how lawn sprinkler duets with tractor

                        as distance muffles horse hoofs

Everywhere I look around I see phrases

discarded candy wrappers by picnic spots

a fisherman casts and casts again

fish watch ripples in their sky

My heart beats steadily like a small candle

somewhere inside a tap left running

splashes insistently

recording sounds and sights
