Finger Poems

Something slips between us

like mingled blood

like fingers towards each other

eyes sparkling through sleep fingers

poems writing themselves

on blank pages in darkness

Listen. I see your tendrils

writing a bridge of light

our fingers intertwined with love

Your earlobes taste like apricots

your faintest echo arouses my taste buds

we disconnect all the phones

and still are able to hear ourselves

laughing

There you go again

wearing all those clothes

to keep the weather out

only your earlobes are showing

where our thoughts mingle

soundlessly

sifting poems from blank pages
